It's the first of January, 2019 – time to wish you all Happy New Year and to make some solid resolutions (if you make them, of course). I spoke about New Year's Resolutions before – I actually brought up a research article that showed that those who make resolutions are way more likely to achieve them than those who don't. So, today, since it's a very relaxing day for almost everyone, I would encourage all of you to relax, maybe mediate, and reflect on the future, on your aspirations and dreams and to make some resolutions.
I'll share some of mine with you – first of all, 2018 was an interesting and quite turbulent year for me and I'm very happy with the fact that I still managed to produce some videos though with a couple gaps during the year. There was some very positive feedback, some very nice collaborations and I feel that I have found my niche, which is scientific digests put in the context of my personal and professional experiences and the practical application of scientific data.
So, my first resolution is to continue making these videos and blogs – I plan to make at least 30 this year. I will also try to work on them in a timelier fashion – this video would be better suited for the 30th-31st of December, not the 1st of January – so I'll work on that. Another thing I'm planning to change is my delivery style – public speaking is a skill and I clearly see some progress since I started making these videos, but I also see a huge space for improvement, so I'll work on that too.
In terms of content, I will definitely make a series on hormones that would complement my series on macronutrients, and, if I feel ready, I will also make reviews of different diets such as keto, paleo, carnivore and others. Also, since I was on a hiatus, I might look like I kind of abandoned my personal transformation blog, which is not the case – I was just too busy with work lately, but I'm still monitoring my progress and I will make some posts on that too. In terms of actual body transformation – I plan to achieve 8% body fat in 2019 and will definitely inform everyone of that (wouldn't you?) as soon as it happens.
Obviously, I do have some more substantial resolutions related to my professional practice and my personal life, but I'll keep those to myself. I hope that this short post helped some of you to make New Year's Resolutions and if you decide to do so, check out my blog on SMART goals – it might be helpful in setting your goals for 2019. In any case, it's time to wish you all Happy 2019 and I hope that you will achieve all your goals whether you make resolutions now or not.
As always, I hope that you find this information useful and encourage you to subscribe to both this website and to my YouTube channel so you won't miss anything. Feel free to ask questions, make comments – I'm always happy to answer them.
Sincerely Yours,
Dr.Sam
